Welcome to Post that sets the standard for Veteran Service Organizations in Atascosa County.

The Atascosa Veteran Council™ formally known as “Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12162” Pleasanton, Texas was launched on May 05, 2017 by our Post Founders; Steve Mueller, Stephanie Pino and Alex Kight. This is a  family oriented post, focusing on family core values, community youth activities and champions veteran causes within Atascosa County.

Atascosa Veteran Council™ is not your grandpas VFW post. We are focused on the full family experience. We believe the health and well-being of the returning veteran is the family that surrounds them. Our members work together as a team to assist one another. We offer networking, business opportunities and collectively direct our efforts to assist the youth in our community. The War is over for us, but the dedication to service to others is still very much alive and well. Be one of the Best..

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who die. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
